Carl L. Nicholson, Jr., CPA, is a partner of the firm and has over 43 years of experience, including 4 years with a “Big 8” firm. He is a certified public accountant in both Mississippi and Louisiana. Carl is one of the founding members of the firm, but prior to that, Carl was a resident partner of Williams Nader & Company. Carl serves as President and Chief Executive Officer and manages the construction service division and litigation support division of Nicholson & Company. He has a Bachelor in Accounting from Mississippi State University.
He has extensive experience in representing some 20 different contractors in the construction of buildings, asphalt roads and bridges.
Carl serves as consultant to various contractors on bonding, succession planning, estate planning, acquisition of other companies and litigation support. He served as the first and only CPA in Mississippi appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Institution of Higher Learning.
Carl has testified in State and Federal Courts as an expert witness on construction matters, business interruption cases and various other business matters.
Carl is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Southeast Chapter of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) as well as the National Association of Certified Valuation Anaylsts (NACVA).
