Carl L. Nicholson, Jr., CPA, is a partner of the firm and has over 38 years of experience. He is a certified public accountant in both Mississippi and Louisiana. Carl is one of the founding members of the firm, but prior to that, Carl was a resident partner of Williams Nader & Company. Carl serves as President and Chief Executive Officer and manages the construction service division and litigation support division of Nicholson & Company. He has a Bachelor in Accounting from Mississippi State University.

Richard D. Halbert, CPA, is a partner of the firm with over thirty-three years experience in the public accounting profession.

Richard received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree in 1973 from the University of Southern Mississippi with a major in accounting. His practice experience includes auditing, business and individual tax planning and compliance services, estate and gift taxation, as well as management advisory and financial planning services for a diverse clientele.

As the Managing Partner for the past 14 years, Frank directs the Firms’ operations, human resources, and marketing efforts. He is active in many community activities and serves as immediate past chair of The Area Development Partnership, the Economic Development and Chamber of Commerce Organization of the Great Hattiesburg Area.

Frank graduated from Mississippi State University in 1976 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, and in 1977, he joined Nicholson & Company, P.A. He has 30 years of experience providing audit and tax services as well as management advisory services. His practice

Richard G. Topp, CPA, is a partner of the firm and has over 31 years of experience. Richard has a mixture of experience between auditing, tax services and management advisory and financial planning services with an emphasis in the employee benefit plan area. His experience has enabled him to accumulate a wealth of knowledge to service numerous industries including healthcare, not-for-profits, distribution and retail. In addition, Richard has provided tax services to individuals and a variety of entities including: corporations, pass-through entities, and trusts. He has been employed at Nicholson & Company since 1977. Richard has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Mississippi State University.

T. John Harvey, CPA is a managing partner of the firm with over 28 years of public accounting experience.

John has a mixture of experience between auditing, income tax, wealth planning and management advisory services. His most recent focus has centered serving as a consultant in the oil and gas exploration and taxation of banking fields in addition to being involved in acquisitions of existing businesses.

William T. Kelly, CPA/ABV, CVA is a partner of the firm with over 25 years experience in public accounting performing audit work, tax services and business valuations. Bill has been with the firm since 1980 and became a shareholder in 1989. His primary focus of current practice is business valuation, and accounting and auditing quality control. Practice also includes business income taxation and estate planning. Mr. Kelly is accredited in business valuation (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and also is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) as credentialed by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). Bill has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Susan A. Riley, CPA is a partner of the firm with over 23 years of public accounting experience. She began her career with a “Big 8” firm. Susan has a mixture of experience in audit work and tax services with her primary practice centered around governmental, non profit, and medical clinic audits and the tax services related to those entities. She has been with the firm since 1984.

Susan has a Bachelor of Science Degree and Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi. She currently serves on the Accounting Advisory Board for the University of Southern Mississippi and as the Chair of the Accounting Constituent

Dawn T. Jones, CPA is a partner of the firm with ten years experience in the banking industry and over 20 years public accounting experience. Dawn has a mixture of experience between auditing and tax services. Her primary focus is construction contractors, banking and employee benefit plans. Tax return, planning and consulting services include individuals, corporations and partnerships. Dawn has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Mississippi State University.

Dawn is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) as well as the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).

Michael W. Davis, CPA is a partner of the firm with over 18 years of public accounting experience. Michael has a mixture of experience relating to tax and auditing services provided for a wide variety of clients including: manufacturing, retail, healthcare, construction, non-profit organizations, as well as estates and trusts.

Michael has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi and is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Accountants (AICPA) as well as the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).

Gregory L. Fairey, CPA, is a partner of the firm and has over 15 years of experience. Greg has a mixture of experience in audit work and tax services with his primary practice centered on the construction contracting industry with audits and the tax services related to those entities. He has been employed at Nicholson & Company since 1994. Greg has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Greg is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), and Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).

Jeffrey M. Allen, CPA is a partner of the firm with over 15 years of public accounting experience. He began his career with a major in finance and enjoyed 10 years focused on real estate lending with the Federal Land Bank, a part of the Farm Credit System. He received a second degree, majoring in accounting, in 1992 and joined Nicholson & Company, becoming a partner in 2007. Jeff’s experience is divided between auditing and tax services. His focus has been with construction contractors, wholesale and retail merchants, healthcare and the timber industry. Tax return, planning and consulting services include individuals, corporations and partnerships.
